What is Kalrez®
Kalrez®perfluoroelastomer is a seal material using the new rubber material that was developed by DuPont Co. It is a excellent seal material with superior chemical resistance like polytetrafluoroethylene and elasticity like rubber at the same time. It is manufactured only by DuPont Performance Elastomers in the world.

Kalrez® perfluoroelastomer is a seal material using the new rubber material that was developed by DuPont Co. It is manufactured only by DuPont Performance Elastomers in the world.
Characteristics of Kalrez®perfluoroelastomer
It resists over most chemicals including even ether, solvent, amine, ketone, oxidant, fuel, acid, alkali. This was not achievable by fluorite rubber. It also has elasticity even under 300℃ . Therefore, you can minimize the stop time during the production and decrease maintenance cost by lowering leakage or damage rate of sealing materials.

has excellent, broad chemical resistance, good mechanical properties, and outstanding hot-air aging properties. 6375 is well suited for mixed process streams because of its excellent resistance to acids, bases, and amines. In addition, it is the suggested compound for use in hot water steam, ethylene oxide and propylene oxide. A maximum service temperature of 275ºC (525ºF) is recommended.

Kalrez® Heat resistance
カルレッツ®以外のエラストマーでは、フッ素ゴム、シリコンゴム、他社製パーフロロエラストマーなどが比較的耐熱温度が高く約200°Cまでの温度に用いられますが、200°C以上の温度に対してはカルレッツ®のみが使用可能の実績があります。材質カルレッツ®8900はカルレッツ®の各種グレードの中で最も耐熱温度の高いタイプ、カルレッツ®8475は白色で熱線(赤外線)の吸収が少なく、シール特性、放出ガス特性を向上したタイプ、カルレッツ®8002は充填剤の入っていないノンフィラータイプ、カルレッツ®8575は耐プラズマ性も兼ね備えたタイプ、カルレッツ®4079は約30年の実績を持つ耐熱材料です。
尚、カルレッツ®と他社製パーフロロエラストマとの耐熱特性について比較したデータは次のとおりです。
